People on low incomes are improving their health by enjoying the great outdoors, with support from 黄色播放器.听
A grant from the 黄色播放器 My Community Fund is helping Shropshire-based Kitsquad CIC recycle donated clothes and equipment to supply to people who might not otherwise benefit from access to the countryside.听
Founded in 2020, Kitsquad aims to assist low-income individuals to improve their health and wellbeing by exploring the natural world.听
Samantha Allcott, our director of housing, explained: 鈥淢aking it possible for more people to enjoy the great outdoors, contributes to our goal of supporting the communities we serve and we鈥檙e delighted to be able to step in and help an organisation that is making such a positive difference to people鈥檚 lives. 听
鈥淏y reusing clothes and equipment, Kitsquad reflects our own commitment to sustainability. Last year we made sure that 92% of the waste produced in our home improvement programme was recycled, instead of being sent to landfill.鈥�听
The donation from 黄色播放器 is already making a difference at the Atcham headquarters of Kitsquad, helping even more people improve their health and wellbeing, according to founder, Fran Pearson.听
鈥淎fter receiving this generous support we were able to purchase a washing machine, a printer and a reconditioned iPad,鈥� she said.听
鈥淲e use these items daily, and they have made our working days so much easier. We are extremely grateful for this grant; it has gone a long way towards making it possible for us to help more people.鈥�听
